About the TopGPA Foundation
The TopGPA Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that leverages technology to enhance the educational experience and bring classrooms into the 21st century.
Officers
Richard Yu - President [ryu@topgpa.org]
Richard is a skilled web application developer who has won numerous awards at both the State and National level. He runs an Internet media firm as well as a educational consultant partnership, and has experience leading high school organisations at the executive-level. Seeing the potential of the Internet as a great educational tool, Richard began development of the foundation's first application, TeacherCMS, in early 2008.
Richard currently studies Computer Science and Economics at Dartmouth College.
Anthony Kao - Senior Vice President, Product [akao@topgpa.org]
Anthony has extensive experience in web design and marketing. Recognizing the value of an excellent education in preparing students for the future, he wishes to utilize growing technological applications to augment student learning.
Anthony currently studies Computer Science at the University of California, Berkeley.
Laura Yang - Vice President, Marketing [lyang@topgpa.org]
Laura is a student business leader in the Silicon Valley with extensive experience working with school administrators and education officials, as well as industry leaders in the community. She has won national-level awards for analysis of government policy and is a senior editor at Monta Vista High School's Pacemaker-winning newspaper, El Estoque. Laura is also currently the President of her local chapter of Future Business Leaders of America, a student-run business organisation.
Laura currently studies at Monta Vista High School and aspires to attain a university education to broaden her world views.
Jack Yu - Secretary and Director [jyu@topgpa.org]
A senior corporate executive with over 20 years management experience in software industry, Jack brings legal and corporate advice to the team of the TopGPA Foundation.
